Bare Minerals Makeup- My personal story.

Ok, now I dont know about you but I am a sucker for infomercials. Not so much that I love watching them, but that I have been know to get sold on random items, that seem so amazing on tv. I mean who can say they have not gotten sucked into watching an infomercial late at night after finishing up some favorite movie or tv show. suddenly the infomercial comes on promising that these products will change your life, make you skinnier, prettier, yada yada... Yes, I know, and this is how I first got introduced to Bare Escentual Mineral Makeup (or just plain Bare Minerals for short). I was watching late night tv and got sucked into the informercial promising perfection of face without looking like your wearing makeup. I mean come on, what girl doesnt want that ?

Well, as the story goes I almost got sold on it then. I am one of those people who falls for the product but am a little sketched out to actually buy it. I have to think on it. So I didnt buy it quite yet.. I thought about it alot. And then the next time I saw the informercial my decision to try it out was cemented. I caved. And I bought.

And I didnt regret it. Wow that was the surprise for me, because being slightly cynical of nature despite my affinity for late night infomercials, I had halfway expected that the product would turn out to be a load of bull, and that would serve me right for ordering it. But it didnt. It worked like a dream, actually giving great coverage for a foundation without looking like your wearing a face mask of colored foundations plastered on your face. Now, I do not like the look of heavy makeup, in fact I dont wear much makeup or foundation on my face at all. Give me a bit of bronzer and I am good to go. But I do have a bit of redness and slight uneven areas, although its not very prominant, when I do wear a foundation, I want all that to be covered up and not look cakey. The cakey look,in my humble opinion, looks terrible especially when seen from up close, in direct sunlight. You just cant stop staring at the persons face, which looks like it has been painted on.. UGH. Not attractive at all.

Naturally when I first got my package of bare minerals makeup I worried that this type of scenario could occur, being the first time I had ever tried a mineral makeup. Bare minerals worked wonders, using a brush to buff it on, it went on smoothly and lightly. Very natural. But surprisingly, it supplied great coverage at the same time. That is the crux of why I became hooked on Bare Minerals. Natural with Coverage. Kind of an oxymoron in my opinion but it truly does work like that.

I would hate to be sold a product which is actual crap. Which is why I am only reviewing a product which I personally use, and find to be the best mineral makeup on the market. Yes now there are TONS of mineral makeups out there, but keep in mind that before all these makeups hit the market there was Bare Minerals. The first and yes, the best. And also incidentally voted Americas best mineral makeup. I guess in this instance, watching that late night infomercial actually turned me onto the best makeup foundation I have come across, even till now. Funny how that worked out.
